Senior Industrial Engineer - Operations

About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-oriented Senior Industrial Engineer to optimize operations within their Plymouth facility. This role is critical for enhancing production efficiency, implementing lean methodologies, and ensuring the smooth running of manufacturing processes. You will work hands-on with production teams to identify bottlenecks, develop innovative solutions, and drive continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and redesign production processes to improve throughput, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Implement and sustain Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S, value stream mapping, and continuous flow.
• Conduct time studies, capacity planning, and resource allocation analyses to optimize operations.
• Lead cross-functional teams on improvement projects, from identification through to implementation and validation.
• Troubleshoot production issues and develop long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for key processes in Plymouth .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in an industrial engineering or operations role.
• Proven track record of implementing successful process improvements and Lean initiatives.
• Proficiency in using process analysis tools and software, such as AutoCAD or simulation packages.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
