Senior Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proficient Senior Industrial Engineer to join their innovative team in Reading . This role operates on a hybrid model, offering a blend of on-site collaboration and remote work flexibility. You will play a key role in optimizing manufacturing processes, improving productivity, and implementing lean methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, extensive experience in process improvement, and the ability to lead projects within a dynamic production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing production processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose data-driven solutions for improvement.
• Design and implement optimal factory layouts, material flow strategies, and workstation ergonomics.
• Lead and facilitate Kaizen events and other continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, maintenance) to address operational challenges.
• Support the installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial engineering role, preferably within manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical process control (SPC).
• Proficiency in CAD software, simulation tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working in a hybrid environment.
