Senior Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proficient Senior Industrial Engineer to join their team in Edinburgh , operating under a hybrid work model. This role is integral to analyzing, designing, and implementing improvements in manufacturing processes, operational workflows, and facility layouts. You will play a key part in enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving product quality by applying advanced engineering principles. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze production systems and operational data to identify areas for efficiency gains and cost reduction.
• Design and implement optimized processes, workflows, and facility layouts using Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including flowcharts, SOPs, and performance metrics.
• Lead cross-functional teams on improvement projects, ensuring successful implementation and adoption.
• Utilize simulation and modeling tools to evaluate proposed process changes before implementation.
• Train and mentor junior engineers and operational staff on best practices and new methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial engineering , process improvement, or manufacturing operations.
• Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies (certification a plus).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in data analysis and interpretation.
• Experience with process simulation software and CAD tools is beneficial.
• Ability to effectively collaborate in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site and remote work.
