Senior Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Senior Industrial Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in the UK. You will be instrumental in optimizing complex processes, improving efficiency, and driving operational excellence across various projects. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced analytical skills and a deep understanding of engineering principles to identify and implement strategic improvements, contributing significantly to the company's long-term goals. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize manufacturing and operational processes to enhance productivity and reduce waste using lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Develop and implement innovative solutions for complex production challenges, focusing on improving workflow, layout, and material handling systems.
• Design, develop, and maintain process simulation models to test and validate proposed changes before implementation.
• Collaborate with remote engineering, operations, and management teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Conduct detailed time and motion studies to establish standard work times and identify areas for efficiency gains.
• Prepare comprehensive reports, technical documentation, and presentations on findings and recommendations for senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, process improvement, or operations management.
• Proven experience with lean manufacturing techniques, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred), and process mapping tools.
• Proficiency in simulation software (e.g., Arena, AnyLogic) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders in a remote setting.
