About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive and innovative Senior Industrial Engineer to join their esteemed team, remotely supporting their industrial operations near Sunderland, Tyne and Wear . This role is critical for enhancing productivity, efficiency, and quality across various manufacturing and production lines. You will be responsible for analysing complex operational data, designing process improvements, and implementing lean methodologies to streamline workflows and reduce costs. Working closely with production managers and engineering teams, you will drive significant operational advancements, contributing to the company's ongoing success and commitment to best practices. Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate current production processes and identify opportunities for improvement using data-driven insights.
- Design and implement lean manufacturing techniques, such as 5S, Kanban, and Value Stream Mapping, to optimize workflows.
- Develop and maintain operational dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production issues and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard work procedures and optimize resource allocation.
- Manage small to medium-sized improvement projects from conception to completion.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Operations Management, or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in an industrial engineering or manufacturing engineering role.
- Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies (certification is a plus).
- Proficiency in data analysis, process mapping, and simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain logistics, and quality control systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders effectively.
