Senior Industrial Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a results-oriented Senior Industrial Process Engineer to join their team in Reading . This role is critical in driving the optimisation of manufacturing and operational processes, ensuring maximum efficiency and product quality. You will lead initiatives focused on identifying and eliminating waste, streamlining workflows, and implementing innovative engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of industrial engineering principles to contribute significantly to the company's continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse existing production processes and identify opportunities for enhancement and cost reduction.
• Design, develop, and implement new or improved manufacturing processes and systems.
• Utilise Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement and problem-solving.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including flow diagrams and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure the successful implementation of process changes.
• Lead cross-functional teams on projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and throughput in Reading .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial process engineering role.
• Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Proficiency in process simulation software and standard engineering tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and influence.
