About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Information Security Analyst to join their dynamic security team based in Aberdeen . Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across various IT systems and networks.
- Develop, implement, and manage security policies , standards, and procedures to mitigate risks.
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools, investigating and responding to incidents promptly.
- Collaborate with IT and business units to integrate security best practices into all aspects of the organization's operations.
- Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior security team members.
- Stay abreast of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies to continuously enhance our defensive posture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security roles, with a focus on threat analysis and incident response.
- Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
