Senior Information Security Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Information Security Analyst to join their dynamic security team based in Aberdeen . This pivotal role involves safeguarding the organization's digital assets against evolving cyber threats, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and contributing to the development of robust security strategies. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive vulnerability assessments and penetration testing across various IT systems and networks.
• Develop, implement, and manage security policies , standards, and procedures to mitigate risks.
• Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools, investigating and responding to incidents promptly.
• Collaborate with IT and business units to integrate security best practices into all aspects of the organization's operations.
• Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior security team members.
• Stay abreast of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies to continuously enhance our defensive posture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security roles, with a focus on threat analysis and incident response.
• Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
