Senior Information Security Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Information Security Analyst to join their dynamic team in Aberdeen, Scotland, UK . This critical role will be instrumental in safeguarding the organisation's digital assets and sensitive data against evolving cyber threats. You will be a key player in developing and implementing robust security strategies, policies, and procedures. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive information security policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses across IT infrastructure.
• Monitor security systems, investigate security incidents, and manage the response and recovery process.
• Design and implement security controls to protect against cyber threats, including malware, phishing, and insider threats.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security is integrated into all system development and infrastructure projects.
• Stay current with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques, and advise on best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Information Security Analyst or similar role, with at least 5 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST) and compliance regulations.
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
• Excellent understanding of network security, cryptography, and application security principles.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
