Senior Information Security Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Information Security Analyst to join their dedicated security team in Aberdeen . Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive information security policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses across various systems and networks.
• Lead incident response efforts, including investigation, containment, eradication, and recovery from security breaches.
• Design and oversee the deployment of security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption tools.
• Provide security awareness training and guidance to employees across the organization.
• Collaborate with IT and business units to ensure security considerations are integrated into all projects and initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security roles, with a proven track record in risk management and incident response.
• In-depth knowledge of network security, cryptography , security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST), and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with security tools and technologies, including SIEM platforms, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
