About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Information Security Analyst to join their expanding cybersecurity team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the UK. You will play a critical role in protecting the organization's digital assets by identifying vulnerabilities, developing security strategies, and responding to threats. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and a proactive approach to safeguarding sensitive data, contributing to a robust security posture for a globally recognized company that values innovation and employee well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses across all IT systems and applications.
- Develop and implement effective security policies, procedures, and best practices to mitigate risks.
- Monitor security systems, analyze threat intelligence, and respond to security incidents in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the secure design and implementation of new systems and infrastructure.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior security analysts and other IT staff on security matters.
- Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to continuously enhance our defenses.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security or a related field.
- Proven experience with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or SOC 2.
- Proficiency in security tools including SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and vulnerability scanners.
- Strong understanding of network security, cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), and data privacy regulations.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security issues clearly.
