About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Senior Information Security Analyst to join their security team. This role focuses on monitoring security systems, analyzing threats, and responding to security incidents to protect the organization's valuable data and infrastructure. You will play a key role in enhancing our security posture through continuous monitoring and proactive threat hunting. This position offers a hybrid working model, allowing for flexibility while maintaining essential team collaboration at our Derby office.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM and other security tools for potential threats and anomalies.
- Analyze security events, investigate alerts, and perform incident triage.
- Develop and implement security detection rules and alerting mechanisms.
- Assist in the execution of incident response plans and procedures.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation efforts.
- Contribute to security awareness programs and training initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in information security analysis or operations.
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, ELK) and endpoint security tools.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, operating systems, and common cyber threats.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
