Senior Information Security Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Information Security Analyst to join their dedicated cybersecurity team. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to contribute to a robust security posture from anywhere within the UK. You will play a critical role in protecting the organization's digital assets, responding to threats, and implementing proactive security measures across a diverse technology landscape. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses across various systems and applications.
• Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Monitor security alerts and incidents, performing timely investigation, containment, and remediation.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure security is integrated into the software development lifecycle.
• Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends to inform security strategies.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of security awareness training for employees.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security, with a focus on threat analysis and incident response.
• Proficiency in security information and event management (SIEM) tools and network security technologies.
• Strong understanding of common cyber threats , such as malware, phishing, and DDoS attacks.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts clearly.
