Senior Information Security Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Information Security Analyst to join their dynamic team based in Aberdeen . This pivotal role involves safeguarding the organization's digital assets against evolving cyber threats. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing robust security strategies, monitoring networks for suspicious activities, and responding effectively to security incidents. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive information security policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses across all systems and networks.
• Monitor security alerts and events, investigating potential breaches and responding with timely and effective containment strategies.
• Lead incident response efforts, including forensic analysis, eradication, and recovery operations.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior security staff, fostering a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.
• Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to ensure the organization's defenses remain cutting-edge.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an information security or cybersecurity role.
• Proven expertise in security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or SOC 2.
• Strong technical skills in areas like network security, endpoint protection, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and SIEM tools.
• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and relevant security controls.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
