Senior Information Security Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly strategic and technically proficient Senior Information Security Architect to join their fully remote team. This role is critical in defining and overseeing the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and resilient IT infrastructure and systems. You will be responsible for developing the overall security architecture, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and industry best practices, while safeguarding sensitive data. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the organization's comprehensive information security architecture.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions to enhance the security posture.
• Develop and enforce security standards, policies, and guidelines across the enterprise.
• Collaborate with IT infrastructure, application development, and business units to integrate security into all aspects of the IT landscape.
• Lead threat modeling exercises and security reviews for new and existing systems and applications.
• Provide expert guidance on security best practices, risk mitigation, and compliance requirements.
• Mentor junior security team members and contribute to the overall growth of the security function.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent extensive experience.
• 10+ years of experience in information security, with at least 5 years focused on security architecture.
• Proven track record in designing and implementing secure solutions for complex, distributed environments.
• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, SABSA), cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), and cybersecurity best practices.
• Experience with various security technologies, including firewalls, WAFs, IAM, encryption, and SIEM.
• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
