About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and qualified Senior Insurance Actuary to join their esteemed actuarial team in Oxford . This leadership role is pivotal in providing actuarial insights and technical expertise to support strategic decision-making across the business. You will be instrumental in pricing, reserving, capital modelling, and risk management for a range of insurance products. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute complex actuarial projects, including pricing, reserving, and capital modelling for various insurance lines.
• Develop, test, and maintain actuarial models, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Provide expert actuarial advice and analysis to support business strategy, product development, and financial planning.
• Analyse financial risks and opportunities, translating complex actuarial concepts into clear business recommendations.
• Mentor and guide junior actuaries, fostering their technical development and career progression.
• Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging actuarial techniques.

Requirements

• Fellowship of a recognised actuarial society (e.g., F(C)AS, FIA) with significant post-qualification experience.
• Extensive experience in actuarial functions within the insurance industry, encompassing pricing, reserving, and capital modelling.
• Proficiency in actuarial modelling software and programming languages (e.g., Prophet, R, Python, VBA).
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
• Strong leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
• Willingness to work collaboratively within a dedicated team in our Oxford office.
