Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy sophisticated machine learning models for insurance applications (e.g., pricing, underwriting, claims prediction).
• Analyse large, complex datasets to uncover insights, identify trends, and inform business strategy.
• Lead end-to-end data science projects, from data extraction and cleaning to model validation and implementation.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into data science solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior data scientists, fostering a culture of learning and technical excellence.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, and apply them to the insurance context.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics) or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive experience (5+ years) as a Data Scientist , with a significant portion focused on the insurance industry .
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and experience with relevant libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Strong understanding of statistical modelling, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques.
• Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable presenting complex findings to non-technical audiences.
