About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Insurance Risk Manager to lead their risk management function remotely. This strategic role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing the enterprise-wide risk management framework, ensuring the company operates within its risk appetite. You will play a key part in identifying, assessing, and mitigating a wide range of risks across the business, including financial, operational, and strategic risks. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced risk professional to take on significant responsibility and shape risk strategy in a remote-first environment, contributing to the long-term stability and success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the group's risk management framework , policies, and procedures.
- Lead the identification, assessment, and quantification of key business risks and opportunities.
- Design and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans.
- Prepare regular risk reports for the board of directors and senior management, highlighting key risk exposures and mitigation effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., Solvency II, FCA regulations) related to risk management.
- Foster a strong risk-aware culture throughout the organization through training and communication.
Requirements
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in risk management , preferably within the financial services or insurance sector.
- Proven ability to develop and implement comprehensive risk management frameworks.
- Strong understanding of risk modeling, capital management, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization.
- Experience working effectively in a fully remote setting is highly desirable.
