About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Lighting Designer to join their esteemed production company in Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK . Key Responsibilities

• Design creative and effective lighting schemes for theatre productions, live events, and other performance contexts.
• Develop lighting plots, cue sheets, and equipment specifications based on script analysis and directorial vision.
• Operate lighting control consoles during rehearsals and performances, as required.
• Collaborate with set designers, directors, and technical crews to ensure cohesive and impactful visual design.
• Manage lighting equipment inventory, maintenance, and budget.
• Stay current with advancements in lighting technology and techniques.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience as a Lighting Designer in theatre or live events.
• Strong portfolio showcasing diverse lighting designs for various production types.
• Proficiency with industry-standard lighting software (e.g., WYSIWYG, Capture) and control consoles (e.g., ETC, GrandMA).
• In-depth knowledge of stage lighting equipment , electrical systems, and safety regulations.
• Excellent artistic vision, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a live production environment.
