Key Responsibilities

• Design compelling and effective lighting plots for theatrical productions, concerts, and events.
• Select appropriate lighting fixtures, control systems, and rigging techniques.
• Create detailed lighting diagrams and cue sheets for technical execution.
• Oversee the programming and operation of lighting consoles during rehearsals and performances.
• Collaborate with directors, set designers, and technical teams to realize the overall artistic vision.
• Ensure all lighting designs comply with venue and safety regulations within Belfast .

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Lighting Designer in a relevant field.
• Proficiency in industry-standard lighting design software (e.g., Vectorworks, WYSIWYG).
• Strong knowledge of various lighting fixtures, control protocols (DMX, Art-Net), and moving light technology .
• Excellent understanding of colour theory, stagecraft, and architectural lighting principles.
