About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and highly organised Senior Logistics Coordinator to oversee and manage the efficient flow of goods and materials for their operations based in London, England . You will play a pivotal role in optimising supply chain processes, ensuring timely delivery of products, and maintaining strong relationships with carriers and suppliers. This position requires a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence in logistics management, contributing to the seamless operation of a dynamic transport and distribution network.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and manage logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods.
- Negotiate with transportation providers to secure competitive rates and service level agreements.
- Monitor and report on key logistics performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement.
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Oversee the dispatch and routing of vehicles to ensure maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator or similar role, with at least 3 years in a senior capacity.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and logistics software.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite , particularly Excel, and experience with logistics planning tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is advantageous.
