About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Management Accountant to join their finance department in Aberdeen . Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
• Develop and implement improvements to financial processes and reporting systems to enhance efficiency and controls.
• Provide detailed variance analysis, forecasting, and budgeting support to various departments and senior management.
• Assist with financial modelling, scenario planning, and the evaluation of new business opportunities.
• Mentor and support junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Requirements

• Recognised professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a management accounting or financial controlling role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas and pivot tables.
• Strong understanding of UK GAAP and management accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
