Senior Management Accountant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and proactive Senior Management Accountant to join their finance team based in Aberdeen . This pivotal role involves preparing critical financial reports, developing budgets, and providing insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making across the organisation. You will be instrumental in driving financial performance and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of management accounting information. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
• Develop and manage the annual budgeting and forecasting processes for assigned areas.
• Provide financial support and guidance to departmental managers on spending and investment decisions.
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function and drive their implementation.
• Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and analyses as required by senior management.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with at least 3 years post-qualification experience.
• Proven experience in management accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data clearly.
