About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Management Accountant to join their finance team in Aberdeen . This pivotal role will involve in-depth financial analysis, strategic planning support, and the development of management reporting systems to drive business performance. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, providing variance analysis and insightful commentary.
- Develop and implement budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Oversee the preparation of financial models to support business cases, investment appraisals, and strategic initiatives.
- Improve and maintain robust internal controls and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Mentor and guide junior members of the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Requirements
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record in a senior accounting role, with strong experience in management accounting and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in financial modelling , budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
- Excellent understanding of accounting principles and UK financial regulations.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting software are essential.
