Senior Management Accountant

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Management Accountant to join their dynamic finance team based in Aberdeen . Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
• Develop and manage budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads, providing strategic financial guidance.
• Oversee financial reporting processes, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Drive improvements in financial systems, processes, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Support the financial audit process and liaise with external auditors as required.
• Mentor and guide junior members of the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Requirements

• Fully qualified Accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience.
• Proven experience in management accounting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of UK GAAP or IFRS principles.
• Proficiency in financial modelling and advanced Excel skills, with experience in accounting software.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience in a similar role within a commercial setting is highly desirable.
