About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Management Accountant to join their dynamic finance team based in Aberdeen, Scotland . This pivotal role involves providing critical financial insights and support to business leaders, enabling informed strategic decision-making. You will be instrumental in driving financial performance, developing robust reporting mechanisms, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning processes.
• Identify and investigate financial variances, providing clear explanations and recommendations for corrective actions.
• Collaborate with departmental managers to understand their financial needs and provide relevant support and analysis.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes, systems, and reporting tools.
• Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• Recognized professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in management accounting, financial analysis, and reporting within a corporate environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, UK GAAP, and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
