About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Management Consultant with a strong background in Public Sector Advisory to join their growing team in Edinburgh . You will lead engagements that help government bodies and public organizations improve their efficiency, effectiveness, and service delivery. This role requires a deep understanding of public sector operations, policy implementation, and procurement. You will be responsible for developing strategic recommendations, managing complex projects, and fostering strong relationships with public sector clients, contributing to impactful public service transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage consulting projects for central and local government clients.
• Develop strategies and frameworks to improve public service delivery, efficiency, and value for money.
• Advise on organizational change, process re-engineering, and digital transformation within the public sector.
• Conduct stakeholder analysis and manage relationships with government officials and key stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with public sector procurement processes and governance standards.
• Contribute to business development, identifying new opportunities within the public sector.

Requirements

• Significant experience (7+ years) in management consulting, with a dedicated focus on the public sector.
• Demonstrated experience advising government departments or public bodies on strategic and operational issues.
• Strong understanding of public sector finance, policy, and operational challenges.
• Proven ability to lead project teams and manage complex stakeholder environments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• A Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Economics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
