Senior Manufacturing Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join their state-of-the-art facility in Aberdeen . Key Responsibilities

• Analyse and improve existing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
• Lead the design, implementation, and validation of new production equipment and technologies.
• Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, quality control, and operations, to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of technical excellence and professional development within the team.
• Conduct root cause analysis for production defects and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably within the oil and gas or heavy industry sector.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles , Six Sigma methodologies, and process optimisation techniques.
• Proficiency with CAD software and manufacturing simulation tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
• Demonstrated experience in leading engineering projects from conception to completion.
