Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to lead key initiatives within their operations in Leeds . This role will involve optimizing existing manufacturing processes, developing new ones, and driving significant improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. You will be a key technical advisor, working closely with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions and ensure the smooth production of high-quality goods. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and reduce cycle times.
• Implement and champion Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Analyze production data to identify trends, root causes of problems, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement robust quality control systems and procedures to ensure product consistency and adherence to standards.
• Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers and production staff.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams on new product introductions and process validation.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing process engineering, with a proven track record of leadership.
• Extensive knowledge and practical application of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles (Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred).
• Strong experience with process simulation, data analysis, and statistical tools.
• Familiarity with automation technologies and their integration into manufacturing processes.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
