About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Massage Therapist & Spa Supervisor to lead their team at a luxury spa facility in Portsmouth . You will be responsible for delivering a range of specialized massage treatments, managing the daily operations of the spa floor, and mentoring junior therapists. Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of advanced massage therapy techniques , including deep tissue, Swedish, sports massage, and aromatherapy, tailoring treatments to individual client needs.
• Conduct thorough client assessments to understand their health history, preferences, and therapeutic goals.
• Supervise and support the spa therapist team, overseeing scheduling, task delegation, and performance monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene standards within the spa environment.
• Manage inventory of spa products and supplies, assisting with procurement and stock control.
• Contribute to client retention and satisfaction by providing exceptional service and personalized care.

Requirements

• Professional qualification in Massage Therapy (e.g., ITEC, VTCT Level 3 or equivalent).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing Massage Therapist , with expertise in multiple modalities.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or team lead role within a spa or wellness setting is essential.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and contraindications for massage therapy.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in using spa management software for booking and client records.
