Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate complex mechanical systems and components for aerospace applications using advanced CAD tools.
• Conduct thorough structural, thermal, and vibration analyses (FEA) to ensure designs meet stringent aerospace requirements and safety standards.
• Create detailed manufacturing drawings, specifications, and technical documentation in compliance with industry regulations (e.g., AS9100).
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing, systems engineering, and quality assurance teams to ensure successful product realization.
• Support prototype development, testing, and flight qualification processes, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes and methodologies within the Leeds facility.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aeronautical Engineering.
• A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in mechanical design within the aerospace sector .
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) and advanced FEA analysis tools .
• Strong understanding of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, composites, additive manufacturing), and associated quality standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
