About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and self-motivated Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their innovative product development team, operating fully remotely . Key Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptualization, design, and detailed development of novel mechanical systems and products, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Utilize advanced CAD software and simulation tools to create precise models, perform analyses (e.g., stress, thermal), and validate designs.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and product managers, in a remote setting.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for prototypes and pre-production units, identifying and resolving design flaws.
- Create thorough technical documentation, including design specifications, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and manufacturing drawings.
- Proactively identify design challenges and propose innovative, cost-effective solutions to meet project timelines and performance targets.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Expertise in industry-leading CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) and FEA analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes (machining, 3D printing, injection molding), and DFM principles.
- Proven ability to manage complex design projects independently and deliver high-quality results in a remote work environment.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with a strong emphasis on virtual teamwork.
