About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their innovative team. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute your expertise from anywhere in the UK. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of new mechanical components and systems using CAD software.
- Conduct thorough stress analysis , thermal analysis , and other simulations to validate designs.
- Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams, including electronics, software, and manufacturing engineers, to ensure integrated system performance.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers within the team.
- Manage design projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards.
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Inventor) and FEA tools.
- Strong understanding of materials science, manufacturing processes, and DFM principles.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for effective remote collaboration.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver innovative solutions.
