Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of complex mechanical components and systems from concept to production.
- Conduct detailed engineering analysis, including structural, thermal, and vibration assessments using simulation tools.
- Create and maintain precise engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM).
- Oversee prototype testing, validation, and performance verification.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the design team.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Expertise in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) and FEA analysis tools.
- In-depth knowledge of materials science, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Commitment to working on-site in our Plymouth facility.
