Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their fully remote, innovative engineering team. This role is critical for conceptualizing, designing, and developing sophisticated mechanical systems and components. You will leverage your expertise to drive projects from initial ideation through to detailed design and verification, ensuring technical excellence and project success. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design process for new products and systems, from concept generation to detailed manufacturing drawings.
• Perform comprehensive stress analysis , thermal analysis, and dynamic simulations using FEA and CFD tools.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product management, electrical engineering, and manufacturing, in a remote setting.
• Develop and maintain detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation.
• Oversee prototype development and testing, troubleshooting design issues and implementing solutions.
• Contribute to design reviews and ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in mechanical design and development.
• Proficiency in advanced 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) and FEA/CFD simulation packages.
• Strong understanding of material science, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacturability (DFM).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to technical challenges.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective remote collaboration and stakeholder management.
