About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their dynamic, fully remote team. This pivotal role will involve conceptualizing, designing, and developing complex mechanical systems and components that drive cutting-edge technological advancements. You will collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to bring sophisticated products from initial concept through to successful production. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of new mechanical systems and components using advanced CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA).
- Conduct thorough stress analysis , thermal analysis, and vibration studies using FEA tools to ensure design integrity and performance.
- Create detailed technical drawings , schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for manufacturing.
- Collaborate with manufacturing partners to resolve production issues and optimize designs for mass production.
- Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance on design best practices and problem-solving techniques.
- Document design processes, test results, and technical specifications meticulously.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proven expertise in 3D CAD modeling and simulation tools (FEA/CFD).
- Strong understanding of materials science, manufacturing processes, and DFM (Design for Manufacturing).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of successful remote teamwork.
