Senior Mechanical Engineer - Manufacturing

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Mechanical Engineer with a specialization in manufacturing processes to join their team in Liverpool . In this role, you will be instrumental in optimizing production lines, designing and implementing new manufacturing equipment, and ensuring the highest standards of operational efficiency and quality. You will work within a hybrid model, balancing essential on-site collaboration with focused remote work. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement new mechanical manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Optimize existing production lines for improved efficiency, throughput, and reduced waste.
• Conduct detailed technical analysis and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment and systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and R&D, to achieve project goals.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and validation of new machinery and production systems.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including SOPs, P&IDs, and maintenance schedules.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong focus on manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing automated manufacturing systems and machinery.
• Proficiency in CAD software and simulation tools relevant to manufacturing processes.
• Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
