Senior Mechanical Engineer - Product Development

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in Product Development to join their dynamic team in Liverpool . This role is central to the innovation pipeline, focusing on the design, refinement, and successful launch of new mechanical products. You will leverage your extensive experience to guide projects from concept through to mass production, ensuring high quality and market readiness. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design and development of new products, from initial concept through to final production.
• Utilize CAD software and simulation tools to create detailed designs, perform analyses (FEA , thermal), and optimize performance.
• Collaborate closely with R&D, marketing, and manufacturing teams to ensure product requirements are met and designs are manufacturable.
• Oversee prototype creation, testing, and validation, iterating on designs based on results and feedback.
• Develop and manage technical specifications, Bill of Materials (BOM), and engineering documentation.
• Identify and implement design improvements to enhance product functionality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness in Liverpool .

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5-8 years of experience in product development mechanical engineering.
• Expertise in 3D CAD modeling (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and engineering simulation software.
• Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, machining, sheet metal).
• Proven ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively work within the Liverpool engineering community.
