About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-oriented Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join their esteemed organization in Belfast . This role is critical for managing the successful execution of mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all technical and project management aspects, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards, budget constraints, and timelines. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage assigned mechanical engineering projects, defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress closely.
• Coordinate with internal teams, stakeholders, and external suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
• Oversee the design, analysis, and testing of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with technical specifications.
• Conduct regular project status meetings, report on progress, and proactively manage risks and issues.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and company procedures throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a PMP or equivalent certification being advantageous.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong track record of successful project management.
• Demonstrated experience in project planning, execution, and control of complex engineering initiatives.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana) and CAD tools .
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
