Senior Mechanical Project Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to join their expanding operations in Glasgow . In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex mechanical engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will act as a key liaison between engineering teams, clients, and stakeholders, driving project success through meticulous planning and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of mechanical engineering projects, from initiation to closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
• Coordinate the activities of multi-disciplinary engineering teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement proactive solutions.
• Ensure all engineering designs and deliverables meet regulatory standards and client specifications.
• Communicate project status, updates, and critical information to stakeholders regularly.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with a strong academic background.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years in a project management or lead engineer capacity.
• Proven experience managing complex projects involving mechanical design, fabrication, and installation.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Jira) and CAD tools .
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and quality assurance methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
