Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) - Oncology

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly knowledgeable and motivated Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) specializing in Oncology to join their team, covering the Scotland region. In this field-based role, you will be the scientific and clinical expert for their innovative oncology portfolio, engaging with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals to foster scientific exchange and support clinical understanding. This hybrid position balances remote work with essential face-to-face interactions within your assigned territory, providing significant autonomy and the opportunity to build strong relationships within the medical community.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary scientific and clinical resource for assigned oncology products among KOLs and healthcare providers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, facilitating scientific exchange and gathering insights.
• Present complex clinical data on approved products and investigational compounds in a clear and accurate manner.
• Identify and support potential research collaborations and investigator-initiated studies.
• Provide feedback to internal medical, clinical, and R&D teams regarding KOL insights and clinical practice trends.

Requirements

• Advanced scientific degree (Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent) in a relevant life science discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Medical Science Liaison roles or equivalent within the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on Oncology .
• Deep understanding of oncology therapeutic area, clinical trial design, and data interpretation.
• Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with scientific and medical experts.
• Ability to travel within the assigned territory regularly and work independently in a hybrid remote/field-based model.
