About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design and synthesize novel small molecules for targeted therapeutic areas.
• Optimize lead compounds based on structure-activity relationships (SAR) and pharmacokinetic profiles.
• Develop and implement synthetic routes for complex molecules, troubleshooting challenging reactions.
• Collaborate closely with biologists to assess compound activity and guide optimization efforts.
• Utilize computational chemistry tools and databases to inform design strategies.
• Document synthesis procedures and analytical data meticulously.

Requirements

• PhD in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in medicinal chemistry within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
• Proven track record in the design and synthesis of small molecule drug candidates.
• Expertise in modern synthetic organic chemistry techniques.
• Familiarity with computational chemistry and structure-based drug design is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
