About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement mine plans, including stope design, ventilation, and ground support.
• Conduct feasibility studies and economic evaluations for new and existing mining projects.
• Optimize mining methods and equipment selection to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Oversee the implementation of safety protocols and environmental management plans on-site.
• Utilize mine modeling software to visualize, analyze, and plan extraction processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including geologists, surveyors, and operations staff, to ensure project success.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in mine planning and design.
• Proficiency in mine planning software such as Deswik, Surpac, or similar.
• Strong understanding of underground and surface mining techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a hybrid team.
