About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Mine Engineer to join their team in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire . This role is crucial for optimizing the design, planning, and execution of our mining projects, ensuring efficiency, safety, and profitability. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement mine plans, including stope design, ventilation, and ground support.
- Conduct feasibility studies and economic evaluations for new and existing mining projects.
- Optimize mining methods and equipment selection to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Oversee the implementation of safety protocols and environmental management plans on-site.
- Utilize mine modeling software to visualize, analyze, and plan extraction processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including geologists, surveyors, and operations staff, to ensure project success.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in mine planning and design.
- Proficiency in mine planning software such as Deswik, Surpac, or similar.
- Strong understanding of underground and surface mining techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a hybrid team.
