Key Responsibilities

• Design and plan underground or open-pit mining operations, including excavation methods and sequencing.
• Conduct feasibility studies and economic evaluations for new mining projects.
• Develop and implement mine production schedules and optimize resource utilization.
• Oversee mine surveying, ventilation, and ground support systems.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering.
• At least 7 years of experience in mine design, planning, and operations.
• Proficiency in mine planning software (e.g., Deswik, Vulcan, Surpac).
• Strong understanding of rock mechanics, ventilation, and mine safety principles.
• Excellent project management and problem-solving abilities.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
