Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine mine plans, including short-term and long-term production schedules.
• Conduct feasibility studies, economic evaluations, and risk assessments for new mining projects.
• Design and optimize mining methods, considering safety, cost-effectiveness, and environmental impact.
• Oversee the selection, implementation, and maintenance of mining equipment and technologies.
• Provide technical expertise and support to operations teams, resolving engineering challenges as they arise.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant mining regulations, safety standards, and environmental legislation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in mining engineering, covering planning and operations.
• Strong knowledge of open-pit and/or underground mining techniques and technologies.
• Proficiency in mine planning software (e.g., Deswik, Vulcan, Surpac).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Valid professional engineer registration or eligibility for registration.
