This role focuses on mine planning, design, and optimization, ensuring efficient and safe extraction of resources. You will work within a collaborative environment, balancing office-based strategic planning with periodic site visits. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine short-term and long-term mine plans, optimizing production and resource utilization.
• Conduct feasibility studies and economic evaluations for new mining projects or expansions.
• Design and implement safe and efficient mining methods, including excavation, ventilation, and ground support.
• Oversee the selection, commissioning, and maintenance of mining equipment.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
• Ensure all mining activities comply with stringent safety regulations and environmental standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in mine planning, design, and operations.
• Proficiency in mine planning software (e.g., Deswik, Vulcan, Surpac) and 3D modeling.
• Strong understanding of mining methods, economics, and safety protocols.
• Experience with hybrid work arrangements and ability to travel to operational sites as needed.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
