About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement detailed mining plans and schedules for extraction operations.
• Conduct feasibility studies and geological assessments to identify viable mining targets.
• Supervise on-site operations, ensuring adherence to strict health and safety regulations and environmental standards.
• Manage and optimize the use of mining equipment and resources to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports, including progress updates, resource analyses, and operational reviews.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including geologists, surveyors, and environmental specialists, to ensure project success.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in mining operations and project management.
• Proven expertise in mine planning software (e.g., Deswik, Vulcan) and geological modelling tools.
• Strong understanding of open-pit and underground mining techniques.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in managing technical teams.
• Knowledge of UK mining regulations and environmental legislation.
