Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement detailed mine plans , including production schedules, equipment selection, and resource allocation.
• Design open-pit or underground mine layouts, considering safety, environmental regulations, and economic viability.
• Oversee the simulation and modeling of mining operations to identify efficiency improvements and cost reductions.
• Conduct feasibility studies and economic evaluations for new mining projects.
• Collaborate with site-based teams and management to ensure smooth execution of mining operations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental standards in remote project oversight .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in mine planning and operations .
• Proficiency in mining software such as Deswik, Vulcan, MinePlan, or similar.
• Strong understanding of rock mechanics, ventilation, and ground support principles for underground or open-pit mines.
• Experience in managing budgets and project timelines effectively.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, crucial for managing remote mining projects .
