About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and highly qualified Senior Mining Geotechnical Engineer to join their established team in Leeds . This critical role focuses on ensuring the stability and safety of all mining structures and excavations, from underground tunnels to open-pit slopes. You will conduct in-depth geotechnical investigations, perform complex analyses, and provide essential recommendations to mitigate risks. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical site investigations, including data collection and laboratory testing supervision.

• Provide expert technical advice on ground support, slope stabilization, and seismic design.
• Author comprehensive geotechnical reports and contribute to mine planning processes.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering for the mining industry.
• Proficiency in geotechnical software packages (e.g., Rocscience suite, FLAC).
• Solid understanding of rock mechanics, soil mechanics, and hydrogeology.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills, with a focus on risk assessment for Leeds operations.
