About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and proactive Senior Mining Health and Safety Officer to ensure the highest standards of safety across their operations in Liverpool, Merseyside . This role is vital for developing, implementing, and enforcing comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures within the challenging environment of the mining industry . You will be responsible for risk assessments, incident investigations, and promoting a strong safety culture throughout the workforce. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust health and safety management systems compliant with all relevant regulations for the mining sector .

• Investigate all accidents, incidents, and near misses, preparing detailed reports and implementing preventative measures.

Requirements

• A relevant qualification in Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a health and safety role, with a significant portion dedicated to the mining industry .
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation pertaining to mining and heavy industry.
• Proven experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety auditing.
