Senior Motion Graphics Designer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and innovative Senior Motion Graphics Designer to join their creative studio in Edinburgh . This role is ideal for a visual storyteller who can bring concepts to life through captivating animation and dynamic motion graphics for a variety of projects, including marketing videos, explainer videos, social media content, and internal communications. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, storyboarding, animating, and finalizing motion graphics projects, working closely with the broader creative team to deliver high-quality visual assets that align with brand messaging and project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and create engaging motion graphics, animations, and visual effects for a range of digital and video content.
• Develop storyboards, concepts, and animatics to effectively communicate creative ideas.
• Animate graphics, text, and characters using industry-standard software.
• Collaborate with art directors, designers, and video editors to ensure cohesive project delivery.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest motion graphics trends, software, and techniques.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Motion Graphics Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing creative animation and design work.
• Expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and related animation and design software.
• Solid understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and composition.
• Experience with 3D animation software is a plus.
• Strong conceptual thinking and storytelling abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
